Sometimes refered to as 'Fibre Optic' beads as they are made from quartz fibres that are fused together. They capture and refract light in a way that resembles a cats eye.

A layer of glass fused to the surface of jewellery at temperatures close to the melting point of silver. Enamel gets its colour from the trace elements that give gemstones their colour.
Faceted
Beads or stones that have small, flat-cut surfaces, usually symetrical that make a sparkling effect on transparent beads, although transluscent and even sometimes opaque beads are faceted.
